<p>Hi I am Geert.</p>
<p>One of my passions is travel and I have been traveling since a young age, thanks to my dad working for an airline (Pan Am and later Delta).</p>
<p>I have been active until last year for 35 years in the travel industry. First, with American Express Corporate Travel (now known as Amex GBT). Then as the Director for Global Travel, Meetings, Fleet in a leading global pharmaceutical company.</p>
<p>As from 2023, I&#8217;m active as the Sustainable Procurement &; Risk Lead (same employer). The other part of my role is managing the Asian Procurement team.</p>
<p>I am still a relative newbie at blogging since I have not really invested a lot of time in it yet. I am now trying to bring it up a notch, as I also have a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/theroadsitravel" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Facebook</a> page and a <a href="https://youtube.com/channel/UCE_iBydqNJu8Ij8wO_kbOEg" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">YouTube</a> channel.</p>
<p>This page is constructed without corporate sponsoring meaning it is my own page and my own opinion &#8211; I am not a travel agent nor am I sponsored by any of the brands I mention. Travel commented on this page is either paid for by my employer (business trips) or by myself (holidays).</p>
